After a brief snippet of footage from the hit series’ 1998 Thanksgiving episode, Cox joked, ‘So anyhow, since I’m the symbol of Thanksgiving, here you go, hope it makes you happy.’

Then, she did the legendary dance for the first time in more than two decades with an uncooked turkey wearing sunglasses on her head and The Rembrandts’ track I’ll Be There for You playing in the background.

While the entire episode is peak comedy, this particular scene between Monica and Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) holds deep significance as it became the first time he told her ‘I love you.’

Her Friends’ costar Lisa Kudrow applauded her recreation in the comments section, writing, ‘You DID THAT!!’

Like Monica, who was trying to cheer up her boyfriend after a hard day, the funny clip cushioned the recent blow that the highly-anticipated Friends reunion was delayed until March 2021.

Two weeks ago, Perry confirmed the delay on Twitter: ‘Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March.’

‘Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!’ the actor wrote, who recently proposed to his girlfriend Molly Hurwitz.

Safety first: 'It was, "How do we do this with live audiences?" This is not a safe time. Period. That¿s the bottom line. It¿s not a safe time to do it,' said Aniston

In August, Aniston said she was taking a ‘glass is half-full’ approach when it came to the postponement in an interview with Deadline.

‘It’s going to be super. You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more exciting and more fun than it would have been,’ she said.

‘I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed,’ she continued. ‘Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life, guys.’

The long-awaited reunion has been plagued with delays and HBO Max has now pushed the special back again, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which is now surging in California.

‘Unfortunately it’s very sad that we had to move it again,’ the Emmy winner said.

She noted: ‘It was, ‘How do we do this with live audiences?’ This is not a safe time. Period. That’s the bottom line. It’s not a safe time to do it.’
