Barcelona have reportedly made an enquiry for Hoffenheim centre-back Melayro Bogarde.

The 18-year-old’s existing contract with German club is due to expire at the end of the season, fuelling suggestions that he could be on the move at the start of 2021.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Ronald Koeman‘s side have made contact with Die Kraichgauer over the possibility of signing Bogarde during the January transfer window.

Di Marzio, though, also claims that AC Milan have made their interest known, with the Italian giants keen on bringing the Netherlands Under-18 international to San Siro.

Bogarde, who is the nephew of former Netherlands international Winston Bogarde, has made one Bundesliga appearance and one Europa League outing during the 2020-21 campaign.

The teenager arrived at Hoffenheim from Feyenoord’s youth system in 2018.
